- Problem
- Thor Motor Coach (TMC) is recalling certain 2018-2021 Hurricane and Windsport recreational vehicles. The driver and front passenger overhead cabinets may detach.
- Risk
- Overhead cabinets that detach while the vehicle is in motion can fall onto seat occupants, increasing the risk of a crash or injury.
- Remedy
- Dealers will inspect and reinstall the overhead cabinets, if necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 15, 2023. Owners may contact TMC customer service at 1-877-855-2867. TMC's number for this recall is RC000290.

What this recall means for you
Overhead cabinets above the driver and front passenger seats may detach from the vehicle's structure. This can happen while the motorhome is being driven.
If a cabinet comes loose while the vehicle is moving, it can fall onto the people sitting in those seats. That raises the risk of injury and can also increase the chance of a crash.
The repair is free. Authorized dealers will inspect the overhead cabinets and reinstall them if needed.
