What this recall means for you
On certain service trucks with hydraulic telescopic cranes, the crane's remote receiver can lose power during operation. When that happens, the crane may continue to move without the operator being able to control it.
Losing control of a moving crane raises the risk of injury to the operator and to anyone nearby. Owners should stop using the crane's remote control if it behaves unexpectedly and keep people clear of the crane's path while it is in use.
The remedy is a software update provided free of charge by Maintainer Corporation of Iowa. Owners who were notified can contact Maintainer customer service at 1-800-831-8588. Check your vehicle's VIN for open recalls to confirm whether your truck is affected.
