Nova Bus LFS Recall 23V054: Power Steering Hose May Detach, Causing Loss of Steering Assist

NHTSA campaign 23V054, reported February 6, 2023, 17 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Some 2022 transit buses may have a power steering hose that was not assembled correctly at the factory. Over time the hose can detach, which causes a sudden loss of power steering assist.

A sudden loss of power steering assist makes the bus much harder to steer and can increase the risk of a crash. Owners should take the recall seriously and have the vehicle checked promptly.

The manufacturer will inspect the power steering hoses and replace them if necessary, at no cost to the owner. Owners were mailed notification letters on March 6, 2023, or can contact Nova Bus customer service at 1-800-350-6682. You can also check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for any open recalls.
