Autocar Xpeditor Recall 23V018: Fuel Gauge May Read Wrong, Risking Sudden Stalls

NHTSA campaign 23V018, reported January 23, 2023, 206 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

A software error in the instrument cluster can cause the fuel gauge to show an inaccurate reading. The affected vehicles run on natural gas, and the gauge may not reflect how much fuel is actually left.

Because of this, the vehicle can unexpectedly run out of fuel and stall, which raises the risk of a crash. If you own an affected vehicle, check your VIN for open recalls and contact an authorized dealer. The dealer will update the instrument cluster software at no cost. You can also call Autocar customer service at 1-888-218-3611 and ask about recall ACX-2301.
