Chevrolet Equinox Recall 23V013: Fuel Pump Module May Cause Engine Stall

NHTSA campaign 23V013, reported January 19, 2023, 23,323 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

The fuel pump control module in certain vehicles may not consistently deliver enough fuel to the engine. When this happens, the engine can stall while the vehicle is being driven.

An engine stall increases the risk of a crash, since loss of engine power can leave you unable to maneuver or keep up with traffic. If your vehicle is affected, have it repaired promptly. Dealers will replace the fuel pump module free of charge. Owners were notified by letter starting June 5, 2023. You can also contact Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020 or GMC customer service at 1-800-462-8782, and check your VIN for open recalls.
