East TO West Entrada Recall 23V004: Motorhome label overstates seat belt count, risking unbelted riders

NHTSA campaign 23V004, reported January 13, 2023, 36 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

The certification label on certain 2022 Class C motorhomes incorrectly states there are 6 belted seating positions when there are only 4. The label does not match the vehicle's actual seating, so the vehicle does not meet the federal wheel and rim labeling requirements referenced in the notice.

The wrong information could lead people to ride unbelted, believing every seat has a belt. An unbelted occupant faces a higher risk of injury in a crash.

Owners should contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-264-6664 and reference recall number 504-1591. Authorized dealers will replace the certification label free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 20, 2023, and you can check your VIN for any open recalls.
