What this recall means for you
Certain 2020-2021 dry van and reefer trailers may have a retaining clip in the disc brake pad retaining assembly that can become loose or detach. When that happens, the brake pad can loosen, which may reduce brake performance. A detached clip or bracket can also damage the brake pad, damage a tire valve and cause a flat tire, or become a road hazard, all of which raise the risk of a crash.
The repair is free. Owners should contact Hyundai Translead customer service at 1-800-251-0871 and reference recall number 22E-081, or take the trailer to an authorized dealer, who will repair the spring bracket assembly at no charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on December 8, 2022.
If you own one of these trailers, check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls and schedule the repair as soon as possible.
