What this recall means for you
Some vehicles equipped with the optional Surround Vision feature may lose communication between the video processing module and the rearview camera. When this happens, the rearview camera image may not appear on the display, reducing the driver's view behind the vehicle.
Reduced rear visibility increases the risk of a crash, particularly when backing up. Owners should be especially careful when reversing if the rearview image is not shown.
The repair is free at an authorized Cadillac dealer, where the video processing module software will be updated or the module replaced as needed. You can check whether your VIN has open recalls and contact Cadillac customer service at 1-800-458-8006 for more information.
