Coach And Equipment Phoenix Recall 22V851: Corroded Fuel Line Can Leak and Cause Fire

NHTSA campaign 22V851, reported November 18, 2022, 353 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain transit buses equipped with Roush fuel return lines in GEN 4 and GEN 5 LPG conversion systems may have zinc plating that breaks away when struck by road debris. This lets two dissimilar metals on the fuel line contact each other, which can cause corrosion over time.

A corroded fuel line can leak fuel, which increases the risk of a fire. Owners of affected vehicles should take this recall seriously and have the fuel return line inspected and replaced as soon as possible.

Dealers will replace the fuel return lines free of charge. Owners who received a notification letter mailed December 19, 2022 can contact Coach and Equipment customer service at 1-800-724-8464. You can also check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls to confirm whether your bus is included.
