Spartan Fire Metrostar Recall 22V780: Emergency Lights May Fail, Reducing Visibility

NHTSA campaign 22V780, reported October 17, 2022, 2 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

An electrical module in some emergency vehicles may have an extra resistor installed incorrectly on its circuit board. This can disrupt communication within the vehicle's electrical network and cause the vehicle's lighting to stop working.

When vehicle lighting fails, the vehicle is less visible to other drivers, which increases the risk of a crash.

The recall affects a small number of vehicles. Owners can contact Precision Industries customer service at 1-573-346-8387 for more information. The module replacement is free of charge. Owners should also check their vehicle identification number (VIN) for any open recalls.
