Jeep Wrangler Recall 22V768: Fuse may overheat and cause loss of drive power

NHTSA campaign 22V768, reported October 13, 2022, 13,722 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

The high voltage battery pack in these plug-in hybrid vehicles was built with incorrect fasteners securing the 200-amp fuse. The fasteners can allow the fuse connection to generate excessive heat.

If the fuse overheats, it may fail and cause a loss of drive power, which increases the risk of a crash.

An authorized dealer will inspect the high voltage battery fuse and replace it if necessary, and will also inspect the battery assembly for damage and replace it if needed. The repair is free of charge. Owners can call Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403, and should check their VIN for any open recalls.
