What this recall means for you
The rear door top striker bolts on certain ambulances may loosen and dislodge while the vehicle is moving. When a striker bolt comes loose, the rear door latch can fail to hold the door closed.
If the rear door latch fails, the door can open during a crash, which increases the risk of injury to occupants and others. Owners should take this recall seriously and have the vehicle checked promptly.
Authorized dealers will inspect and replace the striker bolts at no cost to you. Owner notification letters were mailed on October 17, 2022. You can contact Braun Ambulance customer service at 1-877-344-9990 (recall number 22-001), and you can check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for any open recalls.
