Newmar Super Star Recall 22V749: Incorrect rear tire size label could lead to wrong tire fitted

NHTSA campaign 22V749, reported October 7, 2022, 179 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

The Federal Certification label on certain 2020-2023 Newmar Super Star motorhomes may show the wrong tire size for the rear tires. Because the label is inaccurate, these motorhomes do not meet Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 120 for wheels and rims.

The incorrect information could lead to a wrong tire being installed on the rear axle. An improperly sized tire increases the risk of a crash.

Newmar will provide new labels free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on November 17, 2022. You can contact Newmar customer service at 1-800-731-8300 to get your replacement label, and you can check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for any open recalls.
