Dutchmen Voltage Recall 22V728: Loose Axle U-Bolts Can Let Trailer Axle Slide

NHTSA campaign 22V728, reported September 30, 2022, 721 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain 2021-2022 trailers have front and rear leaf spring U-bolts that may not have been tightened properly. Over time the bolts can loosen and the axle can slide out of position.

A sliding axle can cause a loss of handling and control, which increases the risk of a crash. Owners should not wait to have this checked.

Authorized dealers will tighten the axle spring U-bolts at no cost to you. Owner notification letters were mailed October 27, 2022. You can contact Keystone customer service at 1-866-425-4369 (Keystone recall number 22-436), and you can check your vehicle identification number for open recalls.
