Dodge Journey Recall 22V723: Dim side reflectors may make vehicle harder for others to see

NHTSA campaign 22V723, reported September 29, 2022, 83,453 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Some 2017 and 2018 Dodge Journey vehicles have an amber side reflector built into the headlamp assembly that may not reflect light brightly enough. Because of this, the vehicles do not meet the federal lighting and reflective device standard (FMVSS 108).

A dim reflector can make your vehicle less visible to other drivers, which raises the risk of a crash.

The remedy is free. Dealers will replace the headlamp assemblies at no charge to you. Owner notification letters were mailed on February 16, 2023. You can also contact FCA US, LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403 (recall number Z99), and check your VIN for any open recalls.
