Osage Warrior Recall 22V713: Vehicle lights may fail, reducing visibility and crash risk

NHTSA campaign 22V713, reported September 22, 2022, 14 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

An electrical component in certain emergency vehicles may have an extra resistor installed on its circuit board in error. This can disrupt communication across the vehicle's CAN network and cause the vehicle's lighting to fail.

When lighting stops working, the vehicle is harder for other drivers to see, which increases the risk of a crash. Owners should be alert to any lighting malfunctions and take their vehicle in for service if they notice one.

The repair is free. Authorized dealers will replace the affected nodes at no cost. Owners may also call Osage customer service at 1-800-822-3634, and should check their vehicle identification number (VIN) for any open recalls.
