What this recall means for you
The rearview camera's coaxial cable connectors may have been improperly crimped, which can cause the camera to stop working or work only intermittently. Because the camera may fail or cut out, the driver's view behind the vehicle can be reduced, which raises the risk of a crash while backing up.
The repair is free. Authorized dealers will replace the coaxial cables at no charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 18, 2023. If you have questions, contact Cadillac customer service at 1-800-458-8006 or GMC customer service at 1-800-462-8782.
