What this recall means for you
A shim on the front torsion bar was installed in the wrong location, between the nut and the torsion bar instead of between the ball stud and the torsion bar. An incorrectly assembled torsion bar may fail where it connects to the linkage.
If this happens, the motorhome can lose stability, which raises the risk of a crash. Affected vehicles include certain 2021 and 2022 Entegra Qwest and Jayco Melbourne motorhomes, including Melbourne Prestige models.
Authorized dealers will replace the torsion bar linkage and correct the shim position at no cost to you. Owner notification letters were mailed September 29, 2022. To confirm your vehicle is included, check your VIN for open recalls, or contact Jayco customer service at 1-800-283-8267 and reference recall MB 22V-131.
