DRV Mobile Suites Recall 22V649: Rear lights mounted too high may reduce visibility

NHTSA campaign 22V649, reported August 29, 2022, 491 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

On certain 2021-2022 DRV Mobile Suites fifth wheels, the tail, stop, and turn lights may have been placed incorrectly, with the top portion of the lights mounted above 72 inches. This means the trailer does not meet the federal lighting standard for rear lamps.

Because the lights are placed too high, other drivers may have a harder time seeing them, which can increase the risk of a crash. Owners were notified by mail on October 26, 2022.

Dealers will inspect the light heights and install additional lights where needed, at no cost to you. To check your vehicle, contact DRV customer service at 1-260-562-3500 and ask about the recall for your VIN.
