NHTSA campaign 22V640, reported August 25, 2022, 120,688 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

The secondary hood latch can corrode at its pivot point, which may stop the latch from engaging properly. If the latch fails, the hood can open unexpectedly while the vehicle is in use, which raises the risk of a crash.

Dealers will replace the hood striker assembly and hood latch assembly at no charge. Owners who previously had the earlier repair under recall 14V-593 will need this new remedy performed as well. Owner notification letters were mailed June 12, 2023. You can contact Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020, and you should check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls.
