- Global Environmental Products (Global) is recalling certain 2021-2022 M4 (M4, R4, M4 HSD) and M4 CNG sweeper vehicles. The steering gears may have been incorrectly assembled, which can cause the gears to fracture.
- Risk
- A fractured steering gear can cause a loss of steering control, increasing the risk of a crash.
- Remedy
- Global will replace the steering gears, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on August 24, 2022. Owners may contact Global's customer service at 1-909-703-1600.

What this recall means for you
Certain 2021-2022 sweeper vehicles may have had their steering gears incorrectly assembled. Over time, a steering gear can fracture, which may cause the driver to lose steering control and increases the risk of a crash.
