Cruiser RV Shadow Cruiser Recall 22V521: Incorrect weight label can lead to overloading and crash risk

NHTSA campaign 22V521, reported July 21, 2022, 68 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

The federal certification label on certain travel trailers shows an incorrect Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR). Because the stated rating is wrong, the trailer may be loaded beyond what its axles can safely carry, which increases the risk of a crash.

The manufacturer will send replacement certification labels at no cost. Owners can contact Cruiser RV at 1-574-206-7920 to request one. Notification letters were mailed August 15, 2022.

Check your vehicle's VIN for any open recalls, and make sure the label on your trailer matches the corrected information once you receive your replacement.
