Prime Time Sanibel Recall 22V410: Entry Step Treads May Detach, Risking Injury

NHTSA campaign 22V410, reported June 9, 2022, 607 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain travel trailers have step treads that are not adequately secured to the step brackets. Over time, a tread may come loose and detach from its bracket while someone is using the steps.

If a step tread detaches, the person using it could lose their footing and fall, which increases the risk of injury.

Authorized dealers will install an elevator bolt to properly secure each tread to its step at no cost to you. Owner notification letters were mailed on July 5, 2022. You can contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-862-1025 with questions, and you can check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls.
