RAM 1500 Recall 22V407: Rearview Camera May Not Display, Raising Backover Risk

NHTSA campaign 22V407, reported June 9, 2022, 117,413 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Some 2022 Ram pickups may have radio software that stops the rearview camera image from appearing on the screen. Without that image, the driver has less view behind the vehicle, which increases the risk of a crash while backing up.

The fix is a free software update to the radio. Take your vehicle to an authorized Ram dealer, where they will reprogram the radio at no cost to you. Owners were notified by letter starting July 5, 2022. You can also call FCA US, LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403 for help, and check your VIN for any open recalls.
