Porsche Taycan Recall 22V404: Rearview Camera Screen May Go Black or Flicker

NHTSA campaign 22V404, reported June 8, 2022, 12,490 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

The center screen and touch control panel may stay black right after the ignition is turned on, and the top-view camera image may flicker. The rearview camera image shown on the screen can be affected too, and these vehicles do not meet the federal rear visibility standard (FMVSS 111). A blank or flickering screen can block the driver's view of camera-assisted driving functions, which raises the risk of a crash.

Porsche will have authorized dealers install new software at no cost to you. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed August 5, 2022. You can also contact Porsche customer service at 1-800-767-7243, using Porsche's recall number ANA6.

Check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls to confirm whether your Taycan is affected.
