What this recall means for you
These fire trucks have an extra resistor installed incorrectly on a circuit board. This can disrupt communication on the vehicle's CAN network, which may cause the vehicle's lighting to stop working.
If lighting fails, the vehicle is less visible to other drivers, which increases the risk of a crash. Owners of affected vehicles should take this recall seriously and have it addressed promptly.
Authorized dealers will replace the affected modules free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on July 18, 2022. You can also contact Spartan Fire customer service at 1-800-543-6400 and reference recall number 22001.
