Braun TLC Recall 22V370: Ambulance lights may fail, reducing visibility and crash safety

NHTSA campaign 22V370, reported May 24, 2022, 4 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

A wiring module in certain Braun ambulances may have an extra resistor installed incorrectly on its circuit board. This can disrupt communication on the vehicle's CAN network and cause the vehicle's lighting to fail.

When lighting stops working, the vehicle is harder for other drivers to see, which increases the risk of a crash. Owners should be alert to any warning of lighting problems and have the vehicle checked.

Braun Ambulances will replace the affected modules free of charge at no cost to the owner. Owners were notified by mail on June 20, 2022, and can contact Braun Ambulances customer service at 1-877-344-9990. You can also check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls.
