Isuzu FTR Recall 22V362: Fuel Leak and Engine Stall Risk From Loose Fuel Connector

NHTSA campaign 22V362, reported May 20, 2022, 154 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

A quick connector on the fuel suction hose that links to the engine's fuel inlet pipe is too large in diameter. This can prevent it from sealing properly, which may cause a fuel leak. The oversized gap can also let air get sucked into the fuel hose while the engine is running.

A fuel leak near an ignition source can increase the risk of a fire. Air entering the fuel hose can cause the engine to stall, which increases the risk of a crash.

An authorized dealer will replace the quick connector with the correct size at no cost to you. Owners can contact Isuzu customer service at 1-866-441-9638, referencing recall V2201. You can also check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls.
