Reiser L Recall 22V356: Trailer Coupler May Separate From Tow Vehicle

NHTSA campaign 22V356, reported May 19, 2022, 34 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain 2022 trailers may have a coupler that was improperly welded. The weld defect can allow the trailer to separate from the tow vehicle while towing.

If a trailer separates from the tow vehicle, the risk of a crash increases. Owners should stop using the trailer until it has been inspected if they have concerns about the coupler.

An authorized dealer will inspect the coupler and replace it if necessary, at no cost to the owner. You can contact Reiser customer service at 1-330-846-8003 for more information, and check your trailer's VIN for open recalls.
