What this recall means for you
The manual entry step on certain travel trailers may collapse while in use. The fastener screw can pull through the washer, causing the step to fail under a person's weight.
A collapsing step can cause a fall and injury to anyone climbing into or out of the trailer. Owners should stop using the manual step until it has been repaired.
Authorized Airstream dealers will replace the old washer and install Loctite thread locker free of charge. Owners who received a notification letter mailed July 15, 2022, can contact Airstream customer service at 1-877-596-6505 or 1-937-596-6111 ext. 7401 or 7411.
