What this recall means for you
A forward-facing camera on certain vehicles may be misaligned, so it does not work as intended. When this happens, driver-assistance features such as Pre-Collision Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping System, Driver Alert, and Auto High Beam Control may be restricted or disabled.
These features help prevent or reduce the severity of crashes, so losing them increases the risk of a collision. Drivers should not rely on these systems while the recall remains unrepaired.
Dealers will realign the front-facing camera free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on May 27, 2022. To check whether your vehicle is affected, look up your VIN for open recalls, or contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332 (recall 22S34).
