Tiffin Allegro Recall 22V273: Slide-Room May Extend Unexpectedly, Raising Crash Risk

NHTSA campaign 22V273, reported April 22, 2022, 679 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

A defect in the hydraulic cylinders can cause the slide-room to extend out 6 to 8 inches while the motorhome is parked, or possibly while it is moving. The seals inside the cylinders are defective, which allows the slide-room to move when it should stay in place.

If the slide-room extends unintentionally during transit, it can increase the risk of a crash. Owners should be cautious about driving with the slide-room in an unexpected position.

Authorized dealers will replace the hydraulic cylinders, as necessary, at no cost to you. Owner notification letters were mailed June 1, 2022. For questions, contact Tiffin customer service at 1-256-356-8661 (recall TIF-122), and check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for any open recalls.
