Autocar Xpeditor Recall 22V216: Wiring fault may lengthen stopping distance

NHTSA campaign 22V216, reported April 1, 2022, 535 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

A wiring problem in the anti-lock brake system (ABS) modulation valve may cause the valve to be wired incorrectly. When this happens, the ABS may not work as designed, which can make the vehicle take longer to stop.

Longer stopping distances raise the risk of a crash. Owners should be especially careful when driving in wet or slippery conditions and leave extra room between their vehicle and others until the repair is done.

The repair is free. Authorized dealers will repair or replace the ABS wiring harness at no cost to you. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on May 30, 2022, and you can contact Autocar customer service at 1-888-218-3611 or 1-877-973-3486 about this recall. You can also check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls.
