Terex XT PRO Recall 22V213: Boom May Fall if Pivot Pins Seize and Break

NHTSA campaign 22V213, reported March 31, 2022, 1,359 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Some Terex XT Pro aerial devices from model years 2020 through 2022 may have had their pivot points left unlubricated during assembly. Without lubrication, the pins can seize and break their retainers.

If a pin retainer fails, the boom can fall, which raises the risk of injury to operators and people nearby.

Authorized Terex dealers will inspect and lubricate all pivot points on affected units at no cost to owners, if lubrication is needed. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on April 29, 2022. You can also contact Terex customer service at 1-605-882-4000, referencing recall number SN710, and check your vehicle's VIN for open recalls.
