Ford Transit Connect Recall 22V192: Windshield May Detach in a Crash, Raising Injury Risk

NHTSA campaign 22V192, reported March 25, 2022, 39,720 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain 2016 and 2020 Ford Transit Connect vehicles may have been built with a front windshield that does not adhere properly to the vehicle body structure. The bond between the glass and the body may be weaker than intended.

If the vehicle is involved in a crash, the windshield could detach from the vehicle, which increases the risk of injury to occupants.

Authorized Ford dealers will inspect the windshield and, if necessary, remove and reinstall it at no cost to you. Owners who have not yet had this done can contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332 and reference recall 22S20. You can also check your vehicle identification number (VIN) on the NHTSA or Ford websites to confirm whether your vehicle has any open recalls.
