Maintainer Crane W/ Service Body Recall 22V139: Electrical arc can contact frame and raise fire risk

NHTSA campaign 22V139, reported March 9, 2022, 17 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain 2021 and 2022 Maintainer crane trucks with a service body are affected. The output inductor inside the Miller Enpak unit may touch the unit's frame, which can produce an electric arc. An arc like this increases the risk of a fire.

If your vehicle is included, the remedy is free. Authorized dealers will install a new cross bracket to keep the inductor from contacting the frame. Owner notification letters were mailed on March 21, 2022. If you have questions, you can contact Maintainer's customer service at 1-800-831-8588.

You can also check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for any open recalls to confirm whether your truck needs this repair.
