What this recall means for you
Some 2022 electric Mercedes-Benz EQS vehicles may have a ground connection on the front-left frame member and an electrical connection for the electric auxiliary heater in the engine compartment that are not properly secured. A loose connection like this can increase the risk of an electrical fire. A poorly secured ground connection may also cause the left headlight to stop working, which reduces visibility and raises the risk of a crash.
Dealers will inspect the ground connection and the auxiliary heater electrical connection and repair them as needed, at no cost to you. Owner notification letters were mailed April 15, 2022. If you have questions, you can contact Mercedes-Benz USA customer service at 1-800-367-6372.
To check whether your vehicle is affected, enter your VIN at NHTSA.gov/recalls or contact an authorized Mercedes-Benz dealer. Schedule the free repair as soon as possible.
