Audi RS 5 Recall 22V102: Incorrect Load Limit Label Could Lead to Overloading

NHTSA campaign 22V102, reported February 23, 2022, 49 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

The tire and loading information label on the B-pillar of certain 2022 Audi RS 5 coupe and Sportback vehicles lists an incorrect value for the maximum combined weight of occupants and cargo. The label does not meet the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 110, which covers tire and loading information.

Because owners may rely on this label when deciding how much weight to carry, the vehicle could be overloaded. An overloaded vehicle has an increased risk of a crash.

An authorized Audi dealer will install a corrected label on the B-pillar at no cost to you. Owner notification letters were mailed March 31, 2022. You can contact Audi customer service at 1-800-253-2834 (recall number 44S3), and you should also check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for any open recalls.
