Ford Mustang Recall 22V082: Rearview Camera May Show Blank or Distorted Image

NHTSA campaign 22V082, reported February 16, 2022, 330,784 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

The rearview camera wiring on certain 2015-2017 Ford Mustangs may be loose or damaged. This can cause the camera to show a blank or distorted image.

When the rearview camera image is blank or distorted, the driver's view behind the vehicle is reduced, which increases the risk of a crash. Owners should be aware of this risk, especially when backing up.

The repair is free at an authorized Ford dealer. Dealers will inspect and repair the decklid wiring harness and/or replace the rearview camera as needed. To check whether your vehicle has open recalls, use your VIN, or contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332.
