Jayco Seneca Recall 22V053: Loose Steering Clamps Could Cause Loss of Steering

NHTSA campaign 22V053, reported February 2, 2022, 28 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain 2021-2022 Class C motorhomes may have loose tie rod clamps in the steering linkage. Over time, a loose clamp can allow the tie rod ends to break or come apart.

If a tie rod end breaks or detaches, the driver can lose steering control, which raises the risk of a crash. Owners should be alert to changes in steering feel and address the recall promptly.

The repair is free. Daimler Truck dealers will replace the tie rod clamp bolts and nuts at no charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 15, 2022. You can also contact Jayco customer service at 1-800-283-8267 with questions, and check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for any open recalls.
