Carson FUN Runner Recall 21V948: Gas leak at cooktop can raise fire risk

NHTSA campaign 21V948, reported December 8, 2021, 3 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain trailers with a Dometic three-burner cooking stove may have a saddle valve securing bolt that was overtightened. This can damage the o-ring seal and cause a continuous gas leak from the propane (LPG) system.

A gas leak increases the risk of a fire. If you own an affected trailer, do not ignore the issue. Check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls, and contact Carson customer service at 310-516-6046 to confirm whether your trailer is included.

The repair is free. Dealers will install a remedy kit containing gaskets, washers, thread locker bolts, and two round orange labels. Owner notification letters were mailed on November 12, 2021.
