Dennis Eagle Elite Recall 21V941: False Exterior Light Warning Could Hide a Real Light Failure

NHTSA campaign 21V941, reported December 6, 2021, 22 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

The instrument cluster warning light on these vehicles may falsely indicate that an exterior light is not working, when it actually is. The vehicles also do not fully meet federal safety standards for controls, displays and warning devices.

The danger is that a false warning could prevent you from noticing a real exterior light failure. If a light is out and you are not alerted, other drivers may not see your vehicle clearly, which increases the risk of a crash.

Dealers will update the instrument cluster software at no cost to you. Owner notification letters were mailed January 31, 2021. For help, contact Dennis Eagle customer service at 1-813-440-8136, referencing recall FSI1472, and check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for any open recalls.
