Volvo VNL Recall 21V858: Power Steering Can Fail, Raising Crash Risk

NHTSA campaign 21V858, reported November 4, 2021, 3 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Losing power steering assist increases the risk of a crash. If you notice a sudden change in steering effort, take it seriously and have the vehicle inspected promptly.

Authorized dealers will replace the power steering pump free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on December 10, 2021.
