Orange EV T-Series Electric Truck Recall 21V827: Loose Steering Bolt Can Cause Loss of Steering

NHTSA campaign 21V827, reported October 21, 2021, 252 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

A bolt securing the pitman arm, which connects the steering box to the steering linkage, may have been tightened incorrectly at the factory. Over time the bolt can loosen, and the pitman arm may separate from the steering box.

If the pitman arm detaches, the driver can lose steering control, which raises the risk of a crash.

Authorized dealers will inspect the pitman arm bolt and tighten or replace it as needed at no cost to you. Owners may also contact Orange customer service at 1-866-688-5223. Check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for any open recalls.
