What this recall means for you
Certain 2021-2022 Heartland Mallard Pathfinder trailers have a vehicle certification label that does not list the correct Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR). Because the label shows incorrect axle weight information, the trailer may be loaded beyond its safe limits without the owner realizing it.
An overloaded trailer increases the risk of a crash. The trailers also do not meet the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 120 for wheels and rims.
Heartland will mail new certification labels to owners, and dealers will replace the labels free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 3, 2021. To get your replacement label, contact Heartland customer service at 1-877-262-8032, and check your VIN for any open recalls.
