Coachmen Aurora Recall 21V723: Wrong tires can overload trailer and raise crash risk

NHTSA campaign 21V723, reported September 17, 2021, 29 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain 2022 Coachmen Aurora travel trailers were built with the wrong tires. The trailers came with ST225/75R15 LRD tires instead of the ST225/75R15 LRE tires listed on the Federal Placard, the label that states the correct tire size.

Because the incorrectly sized tires can become overloaded, they may fail to safely carry the trailer's weight. This increases the risk of a crash.

The repair is free. Authorized dealers will replace the tire and wheel assemblies at no cost to you. Owners can also contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-825-6327 and reference recall number 205-1420. You can check your trailer's VIN for open recalls to confirm whether it is affected.
