Ford Mustang Mach E Recall 21V711: Windshield May Detach in a Crash, Raising Injury Risk

NHTSA campaign 21V711, reported September 14, 2021, 17,692 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

The windshield on certain vehicles may not have been properly bonded to the body, so it could come loose. This means the vehicle does not meet the federal windshield mounting safety standard.

A windshield that separates from the vehicle during a crash can increase the risk of injury to occupants. A properly bonded windshield helps keep the roof and airbags working as designed in a collision.

Owners should check whether their vehicle is affected by entering the VIN at NHTSA's recall lookup. Authorized Ford dealers will remove and reinstall the windshield at no cost. Owners who received a notification letter, mailed October 29, 2021, can also contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332.
