What this recall means for you

The recall covers one 2017 trailer equipped with Dexter Ingersoll Smart-Steer self-steer axles, and the affected trailer was sold by Summit Trailer Sales, Inc. If you own this trailer, contact Summit Trailer's customer service at 1-570-754-3511 or take it to an authorized dealer, who will inspect the steering arm and apply welds at no charge. You can also check your VIN for any open recalls.

Until the repair is done, be aware that this problem can occur during low-speed maneuvers that load the trailer's high side, so use caution when turning and maneuvering with the trailer.
