Renegade Ikon Recall 21V644: Window vent may detach, raising crash and injury risk

NHTSA campaign 21V644, reported August 17, 2021, 418 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain Renegade recreational vehicles equipped with Lippert Hehr 6400 series windows may have an adhesive that bonds the vented portion of the window and can fail over time. When the adhesive fails, the vent portion of the window can detach from the vehicle, which increases the risk of a crash or injury.

If you own an affected recreational vehicle, an authorized dealer will inspect the windows and replace the vent if necessary. The inspection and any replacement are free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on September 1, 2021, but you can also check your VIN for open recalls and contact the manufacturer, Kibbi, LLC, at 1-574-966-0196 with any questions.
