What this recall means for you
The fire water pump solenoid on these emergency vehicles may corrode internally. If that happens, power to the pump control module can be lost, and the pump can stop delivering water pressure needed for firefighting.
Loss of water pressure during a fire operation raises the risk of injury to firefighters and others at the scene. Owners of affected vehicles should treat this as a safety issue and get the fix scheduled promptly.
Spartan Fire LLC will remove and replace the pump shift solenoid at no charge. Owners who have questions can contact Custom Fire's customer service at 1-715-294-2555, and should check their vehicle identification number (VIN) for any open recalls.
